Helen Kerins

Helen M. Kerins, a native of New Jersey, began her journey as a musician and minister in her parents' church, where she led devotionals and sang in the music ministry from an early age. Her passion for music took root in those formative years and blossomed into a career defined by both excellence and heart.

Helen earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music with concentrations in classical clarinet and vocal jazz from New Jersey City University, where she studied under renowned jazz artists such as Roseanna Vitro, Paul Meyers, Pete McGuiness, and Walt Weiskopf. She later completed her Master of Music in Music Theory and Composition and went on to earn her Education Specialist Degree in Instructional Leadership, Grades K-12 from Grand Canyon University.

As a vocalist and musician, Helen has performed internationally in countries including France, Panama, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and extensively across the United States. Her studio and freelance work include collaborations with Twenty9Eleven Music, Integrity Music, BMG Japan, Rejoice Music, and Rock Soul Entertainment.

In education, Helen has spent over two decades shaping young musicians as a former high school Band Director in Central New Jersey and currently as the Director of Choral and Instrumental Keyboarding Studies at Plainfield High School in Plainfield, NJ.

Above all, Helen is a woman of deep faith. Passionate, grounded, and devoted to Jesus Christ, she views her musical and ministerial callings as a means of affirming the faith of believers and offering hope to those still searching.

Helen is an active member of The City Line Church under the covering of Bishop Joshua and Pastor Paula Rodriguez. She is a proud wife to Brian Michael Kerins and devoted mother to Kennedy Emerson, Jack Roman, and Ophelia Ravel Kerins.
